Both Hindi and Nepali use Devanagari script so a Nepalese reader can read Hindi as well. As many Nepali and Hindi words originated from Sanskrit, most Nepalese speakers can also understand it.
For the westerner, in comparison to other languages, the Hindi language is quite difficult to learn because it has many vowels and consonants. Besides, it has different and difficult syntax compared to English.
However, for South Asians and those who are familiar with Hindi and Bengali language, Hindi is easier as it is derived from the Sanskrit language.
